Cargoroo is looking for a full-time Financial Manager for our head office in Amsterdam.

Cargoroo is coming from a phase of rapid growth where it has doubled its fleet size two years in a row. In the coming period our focus will shift towards optimising our business model and unit economics. We are looking for a Financial Manager who can help guide us through the next exciting phase of the company’s growth and professionalization.

And having a lot of fun along the way. We’re now Operating across 4 countries and 11 cities, with lots more ambition driving us.

🚀 Roles & responsibilities

• Manage (create and process invoices) accounts receivable, accounts payable and expenses.
• Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and budgets in collaboration with our accounting office
• Identify financial liabilities and perform risk analysis on liquidity and cash flow
• Identify cost drivers and create insights between different cities & markets
• Measure our unit economics and manage the reporting on departmental kpi’s
• Model reliable revenue forecasts based on both past performance and taking into account the growth and adaptation phase of individual cities and sets of cargo bikes.
• Introduce a strict budget framework to enhance predictability and steering of expenses per department
• Manage the financial lease contracts of our assets
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Support month-end and year-end closing process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Evaluate and optimise financial controls and procedures
• Keeping records of invoices and tax payments, as well as reviewing and processing reimbursements.
• Resolve account discrepancies and perform account reconciliations.
• Preparing financial reports, including projected returns on investment and growth rates

📌 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 3+ years experience in Finance
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (written and oral)
• Excellent organisation and planning skills
• General knowledge (and/or interest) with local laws and regulations
• Growth mindset who continuously reads, learns, and evolves

• Experience in a high growth Start-up of Scale-up environment with fundraising trajectories.
