Jouw rol als LCA & sustainability expert

Als LCA en sustainability expert ben je inhoudelijk eindverantwoordelijk voor de kwaliteit van onze LCA-projecten en begeleid je collega’s in hun ontwikkeling. Je levert strategisch advies op basis van levenscyclusanalyses, Environmental Product Declarations (EPD’s), en organisationele CO₂-voetafdrukken (Scope 1, 2 en 3), en vertaalt deze naar concrete verbeterplannen voor onze klanten. Je combineert technische diepgang met visie en bent een sparringpartner voor zowel klanten als teamleden.

Je werkt aan complexe en langdurige duurzaamheidsvraagstukken, wisselt deze af met kortere projecten, en treedt regelmatig op als projectleider. Daarnaast draag je actief bij aan het verbeteren van onze interne processen en methodieken, en help je bij de doorontwikkeling van ons CO₂-dashboard en andere innovatieve tools.

Je onderhoudt klantrelaties, coördineert projectteams, en stelt offertes en projectvoorstellen op. Werk je samen met collega’s waarin kennisdeling en sparren centraal staan, en lever je inhoudelijke input bij trainingen, kennisdeling en strategische keuzes binnen HHC.

Wie zoeken wij?

• Je hebt minimaal 1-4 jaar ervaring met het uitvoeren van LCA’s.
• Je hebt ervaring met verschillende LCA-methodologieën en impact assessment methods zoals EN 15804, PEF en ReCiPe.
• Je hebt ervaring met LCA-software, zoals SimaPro, OpenLCA, Ecochain Mobius en/of Ecochain Helix.
• Je bent in staat om complexe data en analyses te vertalen naar begrijpelijke inzichten en strategisch advies.
• Je hebt ervaring met het opstellen van EPD’s, footprinting, en het begeleiden van klanten bij duurzaamheidstrajecten.
• Je hebt aantoonbare ervaring met projectleiding, klantcommunicatie en interne kwaliteitsbewaking.
• Je beheerst het Nederlands en Engels op professioneel niveau (vereiste).

Your role as LCA & Sustainability Expert

As an LCA & Sustainability Expert, you are substantively responsible for the quality of our LCA projects and support colleagues in their professional development. You provide strategic advice based on life cycle assessments, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and organisational carbon footprints (Scopes 1, 2 and 3), translating these into concrete improvement plans for our clients. You combine strong technical expertise with vision and act as a sparring partner for both clients and team members.

You work on complex, long-term sustainability challenges, alternating these with shorter projects, and regularly take on the role of project lead. In addition, you actively contribute to improving our internal processes and methodologies and support the further development of our CO₂ dashboard and other innovative tools.

You maintain client relationships, coordinate project teams, and prepare proposals and project quotations. You collaborate closely with colleagues in an environment where knowledge sharing and critical discussion are central, and you provide substantive input to training sessions, knowledge development and strategic decision-making within Hedgehog.

Whom are we looking for?

• You have at least 1–4 years of experience conducting LCAs.
• You have experience with various LCA methodologies and impact assessment methods such as EN 15804, PEF and ReCiPe.
• You have experience with LCA software, such as SimaPro, OpenLCA, Ecochain Mobius and/or Ecochain Helix.
• You are able to translate complex data and analyses into clear insights and strategic advice.
• You have experience preparing EPDs, footprinting, and guiding clients through sustainability programmes.
• You have demonstrable experience in project management, client communication and internal quality assurance.
• You have a professional command of both Dutch and English (required).
