Embedded Control Engineer

As anEmbedded Control Engineer,you will play a crucial role in developing state-of-the-art control software for our sustainable home energy products. In this role, you will develop and implement high-quality control software that optimizes the performance of individual products and leverages the synergies across all products in the ecosystem, ultimately leading to higher savings for our customers and reduced CO2 emissions due to home energy consumption.

🌱 What you'll be doing:

  • Design and implement state-of-the-art control algorithms like Model Predictive Control (MPC) for home energy applications, ensuring energy efficiency, customer comfort and reliability objectives are met;
  • Deliver high quality embedded software following best practices of software development and testing;
  • Collaborate with embedded engineers to ensure smooth integration between control and other embedded system functionalities;
  • Develop/update simulation environments to test and compare control designs;
  • Work in cross-functional teams, including HVAC engineers, embedded software engineers and backend developers to integrate control algorithms into the products;
💡 What you'll need?
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field;
  • 4+ years of experience in control software, or a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing control algorithms such as MPC;
  • Good understanding of control theory principles applicable to home energy systems, including proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control and model predictive control;
  • You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • You are full of energy, eager, and capable to learn and grow.

⚡ Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Linux and Python is a plus.
