Join The Great Bubble Barrier in the fight against plastic pollution by supporting our Marketing & Communications team to create informative and impactful content to protect our oceans and rivers. Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for capturing compelling visuals? We have an exciting opportunity for a Videography & Photography Intern to join our team! As a Videography & Photography Intern, you will bring your creative energy to an enthusiastic team, contributing to impactful projects while honing your craft in photography, videography, and digital content creation.
The Great Bubble Barrier is a Dutch social enterprise, founded in 2017, which developed an effective technology to stop plastic pollution in rivers before it flows into our oceans, using bubbles. Our Bubble Barrier technology captures plastic across the entire width and depth of rivers, operates 24/7, and does not disrupt regular river activities.
You will be working on:
• Videography: Assisting with filming and editing videos for social media and campaigns.
• Photography: Capturing high-quality photos for use across digital platforms.
• Content Collaboration: Working with the team to brainstorm and execute creative visual ideas.
• Media Management: Organizing visual assets, ensuring easy access for future use.
• Pre-production Support: Helping prepare storyboards, shot lists, and scripts for shoots.
• Post-production Support: Editing visuals and learning about industry-standard editing tools and software.
• Social Media Visuals: Assisting with resizing and optimizing images and videos for various platforms.
You will gain valuable experience in:
• Videography and editing techniques
• Photography and creative direction
• Storyboarding and content planning
• Using professional equipment and editing software
• Visual storytelling for digital platforms
• Working collaboratively with a dynamic and supportive team
Skills & Qualifications
• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Media, Film Studies, Visual Arts, or a related field
• Experience: Basic knowledge and interest in photography, videography, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop)
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Language Proficiency: Working proficiency in English
• Mission Alignment: Genuine interest in ocean health, sustainability, and preventing plastic pollution Work Requirements
• Working Hours: 32 working hours per week
• Location: Office-based in Amsterdam with flexibility for remote work
• Permit: Based in the Netherlands with an EU working permit
• Duration: Available for a minimum of 12 weeks (3 months)
What we offer:
• Allowance: 375 EUR gross per month
