FREELANCE COMMUNITY AND POLLUTION MONITORING COORDINATOR

One Planet Port (OPP) is creating a safe, healthy zero pollution optimistic plan for the Port of Rotterdam. OPP is committed to steering the urgent ecological transition needed in the world’s most influential industrial hub, the Port of Rotterdam. As the largest harbor in Europe, this port plays a central role in global fossil fuel industries, but now must pivot to meet critical climate targets. We want the Port of Rotterdam to work safely within planetary boundaries and to be consistent with local, regional, national, and international climate, biodiversity, and health targets. A change in Rotterdam can trigger widespread positive effects on a global scale. These shifts can serve as a blueprint for ports across the globe. OPP goals are: (a) Stop fossil fuel build-out and support the scale-up of renewables; (b) Create mandatory zero pollution pathways for shipping and ports; (c) Build circular economic activity and trading relationships.
