Your role

The Energy Sourcing team is a brand new department at Fastned and we are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial drive to help build this unit together with the Energy Sourcing Manager. As a Financial Operations Analyst, you'll take charge of reviewing energy invoices and driving process enhancements, all while collaborating closely with our Accounting and local teams to innovate and optimise. In concrete terms, this means you:

• Review and approve all energy-related invoices using e.g. our data warehouse Databricks;

• Work closely with suppliers such as energy companies, grid operators and metering companies to ensure data accuracy;

• Document, automate and streamline our operational processes;

• Provide insight into process improvements and implementations within the team;

• Manage existing agreements such as for the supply of energy, and support with new energy related agreements;

• Contribute to various audit activities and projects.

Who we are looking for

We believe that people from many different professional backgrounds will be able to succeed in this role. What is truly important is that you are an initiator and take ownership of the tasks assigned. A keen eye for detail and critical thinking are of great help in managing this important cost component of our business. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

• You have a genuine interest in the energy transition and Fastned’s mission to create freedom for electric drivers;

• Hands on, outgoing and proactive mentality;

• 2+ years relevant experience in Supply Chain Management, Operations Coordination, Financial Accounting or similar role. That being said, we encourage you to apply coming from different backgrounds if you identify with the content you're reading;

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related area;

• Experience with tools such as Excel and Databricks to perform analyses;

• Fluency in English; additional languages such as Dutch or German are a plus - not a must.
