WE ARE: 

CityHub is a lifestyle hotel brand that is exploring the unchartered waters of the industry. We cater to the wishes and needs of this generation of curious and savvy nomads and make sure to always stay one step ahead. 

Serving up the best of both worlds: travellers experience the comfort of a hotel combined with the feeling of community and the affordability of a hostel. Moreover, CityHub integrates state of the art technology with local superstars who connect travellers with the best the city has to offer. 

We revolutionise the hotel industry with a unique hospitality offering. We designed an innovative room concept called Hub that provides a comfortable stay with all the functions modern travellers require while using space efficiently. We currently have hotels in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Copenhagen and Reykjavik, and more to come in Europe.

YOUR MISSION:

Working closely with our HR Manager, you will dive deep into the world of ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance). You will investigate our current performance, identify the gaps, and determine which policies we need to adapt to make a genuine impact.

You will take on a central role in our sustainability project. You will collaborate with various departments and focus on the following pillars:

• B Corp Self-Assessment (BIA): You will navigate the assessment, gather the necessary evidence, and identify opportunities to improve our score in areas such as Workers, Environment, and Community.
• EMPCO Compliance: You will dive into the new EU legislation against 'greenwashing' (Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition). Does our current communication and sustainability policy meet these new, strict standards?
• Action Plan 2027: You will translate your findings into a concrete advisory report and implementation plan. What do we need to change in our (HR) policies this year to pass the B Corp audit with flying colors?

YOU ARE:

• A go-getter with a green heart. You are not intimidated by complex documents; instead, you see it as a puzzle to translate complex requirements (like B Corp or EU legislation) into practical company policies.
• Available for min. six months, from September or October 2026 to February 2027
• Student in Hotel Management, Business or Environmental Sciences 
• Fluent in English (additional EU languages are highly appreciated).
• You are an EU resident or have a valid working and living permit for The Netherlands.
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit and like to discover new things.
• Motivated, eager to learn and most importantly enthusiastic and friendly!

HOW'S WORKING WITH US:

We said we are growing, we know, but we are still very young at heart and our start-up mindset will probably never abandon us. At CityHub the borders between departments are blurred, everybody is independent, but nobody works on their own island.
