Your role: Architect for e-mobility charging stations

As an Architect in our Swiss team, you contribute to the success of the company by delivering station designs with the best customer experience. You will integrate our modular Fastned stations and shops into high-traffic service areas: from the initial sketch and site feasibility to obtaining a building permit and delivering detailed execution plans. Your role as an Architect is crucial to our multidisciplinary team to envision the full potential of a site. In your day-to-day job, you will focus on our expansion in Switzerland. Our Swiss office is located in Zurich Altstetten and offers a modern and spacious workplace.

Key responsibilities:

• You create design concepts based on the modular Fastned design standards and  navigate  your own projects  through SIA phases 21-51

• Make site visits, check the suitability of levels, station access, traffic flow, and other key criteria

• Find creative ways to overcome challenges on a site with your design, so we can deliver the best possible customer experience

• Create full architectural drawing packages required for permit applications

• Collaborate and communicate with external stakeholders such as regional and local authorities

• Produce technical drawing packages and documentation for the construction team

• Collaborate and coordinate with the other architects in the Swiss team as well as with our in-house expansion and construction teams. You will also be connected to our international location design team

Who we are looking for

Most importantly: you are highly motivated by accelerating the energy transition and joining a fun company that is making a difference. You are a real team player, you feel comfortable taking initiative and working independently. You are not afraid to make mistakes, and you are always keen to keep on learning. Either you already have experience in public space design,  infrastructure or site development or want to develop in these areas. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

• You bring +2 years of experience as an Architect, Landscape Architect, Civil Engineering Technician with  a respective degree ETH/HF/FH  and/or  further education

• You’re familiar with permit processes within Switzerland and can confidently discuss projects with local authorities

• You have gained insights in SIA phases 21-51 and have experience in creating technical execution plans 

• You speak fluent French, English and ideally German

• You’re a CAD expert (e.g. ArchiCAD), Revit or any other BIM  experience is a PLUS

• You are convinced of the importance of branding & visual identity and you can apply traffic safety regulations to your own design proposals

• You can see yourself as an ambassador of Fastned and electric mobility

• You have a driving licence that is valid in Switzerland or are in the process of getting one
