Over Rewilding Europe

Rewilding Europa loopt voorop in grootschalig natuurherstel, met 11 (binnenkort 15) landschappen verspreid over het continent. Onze missie is om Europa wilder te maken. We hebben ambitieuze doelen gesteld om grootschalige rewilding in de praktijk te laten zien. Vanuit deze voorbeelden willen we rewilding verder opschalen door heel Europa. Met een fantastisch en divers team van experts en gedreven collega’s uit heel Europa (37 fte in het Centrale Team en ongeveer 120 fte in onze Landschapsteams) zetten wij ons in om de rewilding-beweging vooruit te helpen – ten gunste van natuur én mensen.

Functie

Wij zoeken een Finance Manager die zorgt voor tijdige, juiste en betrouwbare financiële administratie en rapportage voor Stichting Rewilding Europe en haar commerciële entiteiten. Deze rol biedt essentiële financiële en administratieve ondersteuning aan het Finance & Operations team en de bredere organisatie. De Finance Manager neemt verantwoordelijkheid voor toegewezen zaken en voert procesverbeteringen door.

Positie binnen de organisatie

Je rapporteert aan de Lead Finance & Control en werkt nauw samen met de andere leden van het Finance & Operations Team.

Verantwoordelijkheden

Financiële administratie en boekhouding

• Beheer van de financiële administratie van de stichting en haar twee commerciële entiteiten;
• Verwerken van facturen, declaraties en creditcardoverzichten;
• Boeken van crediteuren en debiteuren;
• Aansluiting van bankafschriften;
• Verwerken van bankmutaties;
• Aansluiting salaris- en financiële administraties;
• Beheren van de finance-mailbox.

Kwartaal- en jaarafsluiting

• Voorbereiden van financiële overzichten en specificaties;
• Uitvoeren van de kwartaal- en jaarafsluiting, inclusief controles en correcties;
• Ondersteunen bij audits;
• Ondersteunen bij btw-aangiftes.

Financiele planning and rapportage

• Ondersteunen bij de voorbereiding van financiële rapportages voor donoren;
• Ondersteunen van de financiële controle van partnerorganisaties in onze rewilding-landschappen;
• Bijdragen aan de voorbereiding van de jaarlijkse begroting en forecast;
• Verzamelen en rapporteren van data over emissies.

Profiel

• Afgeronde financiële/administratieve opleiding op hbo-/bachelorniveau;
• 5–8 jaar relevante ervaring in financiële/boekhoudkundige functies, waarvan minimaal 3 jaar ervaring in boekhouding;
• Grondige kennis van financiële en boekhoudkundige procedures;
• Ervaring met financiële software (ervaring met Exact Online is een pré);
• Uitstekende kennis van MS Office;
• Volledige beheersing van de Nederlandse taal en professionele werkvaardigheid in het Engels.

Voorwaarden

• Rewilding Europe is een professionele en dynamische organisatie met een prettige werkcultuur. We bieden een concurrerend salaris, passend bij je achtergrond, expertise en ervaring.
• De functie is ingeschaald in salarisschaal 7, binnen een salarisstructuur die loopt van schaal 4 tot schaal 11. De salarisrange ligt tussen de €3.600 en €4.600 bruto per maand bij een fulltime dienstverband. Het salaris is afhankelijk van ervaring en kwalificaties.
• De functie is op locatie op ons kantoor Wild Quarters in Heilig Landstichting (Nederland), met de mogelijkheid tot hybride werken.
• Vanwege werkvisumrestricties kunnen alleen kandidaten reageren die staatsburger zijn van een EU-/EER-lidstaat, of reeds het recht hebben om in de EU te wonen en te werken.

Role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable financial record-keeping and reporting for Rewilding Europe Foundation and its commercial entities. The role provides vital financial and administrative support to the Finance & Operations team and the wider organisation by assuring financial and administrative support. The Finance Manager will take ownership of assigned matters and improve processes.

Positioning in the organisation

Reports to the Lead Finance & Control. Works closely together with the other members of the Finance and Operations Team.

Main responsibilities

Financial administration and bookkeeping

• Manage the financial administration of the Foundation and its two commercial entities;
• Process invoices, declarations and credit card statements;
• Record accounts payable and accounts receivable;
• Reconcile bank statements;
• Track bank deposits and payments;
• Reconciliation salary and financial administrations;
• Manage the finance mailbox.

Quarter end and year end close

• Prepare financial statements and specifications;
• Quarter and year end close including checks and corrections;
• Provide audit support;
• Support VAT declarations.

Financial planning and reporting

• Support the preparation of financial reports for donors;
• Support the financial control of the partner organisations in our rewilding landscapes;
• Support the preparation of the annual budget and forecast;
• Collect and report on greenhouse gas emission data.

Key qualifications

• Higher financial-administrative education (HBO);
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting roles, including at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience;
• Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures;
• Experience using financial software (experience with Exact Online is beneficial);
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office;
• Full proficiency in Dutch and professional working proficiency in English is required.

Remuneration

• Rewilding Europe is a professional and dynamic organisation with a friendly working culture. We offer competitive salaries, reflecting your background, expertise, level of experience, and country of residence.
• The position is graded in salary scale 7 with the salary structure of Rewilding Europe ranging from scale 4 to scale 11. The gross monthly salary for a full-time position ranges from €3.600 to €4.600, depending on experience and qualifications.
• This position is office-based in our Wild Quarters in Heilig Landstichting, the Netherlands with hybrid working as an option.
