Suggestions that came from the survey
The various comments contained a number of suggestions, which we are happy to share with you. At Greenjobs.nl, we greatly appreciate this feedback as it helps us to further optimize the website! Below is a summary of the areas for improvement on the Greenjobs.nl site:
- ' Search filters by placement date and via recruiter or not, now you have to go through that whole list again every week, so unnecessary'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Good point and we will take it with us! We want to continuously improve and optimize the search options, so this feedback is very nice! - ' Filters for provinces, search by region, list of truly sustainable companies'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Thanks for the response! If you are on the jobs page you can filter by provinces on the left side. Greenjobs.nl FAQ states what (in our opinion) constitutes a sustainable company, hopefully this will explain a bit more. - ' Salary indication filter'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Thanks for the feedback, we'll take it with us! Unfortunately, the employers themselves don't always indicate the salary either. - ‘An option to filter specifically for jobs at B Corps or other certified sustainable companies. This makes it clear which employers are measuring their impact.'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Thanks for the response, this is definitely important! If you're on the vacancies page you can filter by B Corps on the left under field of study. - ‘Adjusting the filters: type of organization: business/government, profit/nonprofit : charities etc'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Thanks for the feedback, we will take it with us. We want to continuously improve and optimize the search options, so this feedback is very nice! - 'A function to filter sustainable internships and traineeships. This helps talent develop further.'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Good point! On the job page you can already filter internships on the left side and thanks to your feedback we have now added traineeships. - 'An option to filter the traineeships from the search results would be nice. Those are always everywhere, so you have to go through that every time to find real current vacancies.'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Thanks for your feedback! We've created a filter for traineeships because of your feedback. - 'I miss a filter for experience! And companies like Bender or Sweco who upload 50 vacancies at once I would also like to filter out, gives a lot of noise. Otherwise super happy that you exist :)'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Thanks for the positive feedback :) We understand that this is very annoying and will take this feedback with us! We want to continuously improve and optimize the search options. - 'I find the huge list of jobs from the same companies "distracting". My search area is quite big and wide, and then a whole list (sometimes as much as 1.5 pages) from the same party (where I don't want to work) I would like to exclude, without wanting to apply filters, because then again a lot is lost. Maybe you guys can do something with it.’
Response Greenjobs.nl: Understandable that this is annoying and we are taking this feedback with us! We want to continuously improve and optimize the search options, so this feedback is very nice! - 'Investing in better search functions and filtering and making sure the vacancies match that filtering very well. The range of jobs is overwhelming in government so without a good search function having to go through everything that is almost exclusively government and not an environment I am looking for takes too much time and is not fun. I would like to be able to specify a category, type, salary range, number of hours all as filters. For me, searching by job title is too specific because the job I am looking for is called differently everywhere and sometimes you are looking for something related to a job but don't know what it is called until you see a job posting for it with certain name/description.'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Thank you for this clear feedback! Our goal is to continuously improve and optimize the search options. - ‘Filter with jobs posted in English!’
Response Greenjobs.nl: Good point we'll take it with us! We want to continuously improve and optimize the search options, so this feedback is very nice! - ‘Your website looks very nice but only for Dutch people… would be great to make it more open to international people - we barely find opportunities for non-Dutch people which a a pity knowing the amount of international people living in the country. Even this survey is only in Dutch … which I don’t find very open to a broader audience’
Response Greenjobs.nl: Thank you for your feedback. Although our website is available in English and we try to encourage more international vacancies, the availability still depends on the companies that list them. Regarding the survey it was provided in both English and Dutch if you scroll down in the mail you could find it, thanx for filling it in any way! - 'I would like more guidance in what background the companies want. Often no preference is expressed only an interest in sustainability and a relevant study/background. I have this, however it is not an obvious study like master circular economy or sustainability management. Now I find every time that this is still indirectly said as a requirement when I get back that unfortunately I don't have the obvious background.'
Response Greenjobs.nl: We understand that it is important to get clarity on the background that companies are looking for. We try to advise employers to better communicate this. Your suggestion helps us improve the recruiting experience. - 'Suggestions to further align Greenjobs.nl with sustainability and impact goals:'
Response Greenjobs.nl: We strive to put as many sustainable and impactful jobs online as possible. Every job posting is thoroughly checked before it is posted. While there may sometimes be discussion about the sustainability of certain jobs, we do our best to avoid posting jobs from companies more concerned with greenwashing than sustainability on Greenjobs.nl If you want more information about this please take a look at our FAQ. - 'I see many unsustainable jobs'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Thanks for the response! the Greenjobs.nl FAQ states what (in our opinion) a green job is, hopefully this explains a bit more. - 'Expanding the possibilities of creating a profile, for example by adding skills and values. This will give employers a more complete picture of candidates.'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Good point and we will take it with us! It is important that the profile is personalized well so this feedback is very nice! - 'Making a better profile what you are looking for so you only receive the jobs relevant to you.'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Thanks for the feedback! It is important that the profile is well personalized so we will take this on board! - 'Small note when you sign up. I didn't even remember I was registered in fact. unfortunately namely no results based on my resume'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Good point we will take it with us! - 'I feel that the range of vacancies is still quite limited. For example, I want to work as an ecological gardener, but there are no gardener vacancies on the site at all, even though there are (and there is no central website for that yet).'
Response Greenjobs.nl: Thanks for the feedback. We try to post as many different vacancies as possible but do depend on employers posting vacancies online. We will continue to do our best to offer more variety. - ‘If possible, I would like you to have more vacancies in the fashion industry including freelance positions -I understand that the polluting industry also needs to get greener to post on your platform.’
Response Greenjobs.nl: Thanks for the feedback! We try to have a wide range of vacancies, but are depended on what employers post. We'll keep trying to offer more variety, including sustainable jobs in the fashion industry.
- ‘Very few senior management jobs. Lot of traineeships. It feels like it is focused on young people.’
Response Greenjobs.nl: We appreciate your observation! Our platform does not focus on age; rather, we strive to offer opportunities for individuals at all stages of their careers. We recommend checking the site regularly, as new job offers are added every day.
Greenjobs.nl is very grateful for all the feedback and opinions received. The responses were very positive and we are proud of this! Thanks to you we can start improving even further.
