B Corp Month: Inspiring Insights from 5 B Corps Making a Difference

How B Corps Are Shaping the Future of Work and Impact

B Corp Month is a time to celebrate how companies around the world are doing business as a force for good. At Greenjobs.nl, we’re taking this opportunity to share the inspiring stories of B Corps that are making a difference every day. We asked five B Corps—Orbisk - Zero Food Waste, African Clean Energy, Le Nouveau Chef, MYPUP, and Patagonia—five quick questions about their experiences as B Corps. Their answers to the questions reveal how B Corps are shaping the future of work and impact.

Working at a B Corp: What Makes It Different?

For many, working at a B Corp means being part of something bigger. As the team at Orbisk - Zero Food Waste emphasizes, “Working at a B Corp means being surrounded by people who truly care about impact. We all have the same drive to reduce food waste and leave the world a better place.”

At African Clean Energy, this shared mission also plays a role: "You're just a little bit more certain that what you're doing is really making an impact. That feeling is incredibly motivating."

A shared mission and engaged teams

The B Corps we spoke to experience a strong sense of shared values and purpose. Le Nouveau Chef sums it up as follows: "As a team, we're building a more sustainable future together and that creates a sense of community." This sentiment is echoed by MYPUP: "Being B Corp certified means more attention to social impact and encourages conscious choices."

The power of the B Corp community

One of the most valued aspects of being a B Corp is the global community. Patagonia describes it as: "It goes beyond a certification—it's a way to show that you're committed to making the world a better place. We feel connected to companies that share our values."

Orbisk adds: "The best thing about being a B Corp? Being part of a network of companies that really care about positive change."

B Corp as a recruitment tool? While some companies have yet to see direct effects on their hiring process, others are finding that the B Corp label helps attract like-minded candidates. As Patagonia puts it, “We attract people who are not just looking for a job, but also for a way to contribute to a better world.”

Inspiration from other B Corps

B Corps inspire each other to go further. Several companies cited Patagonia as an example for their commitment to environmental awareness. Le Nouveau Chef found inspiration from Yumeko after meeting at a B Corp event. MYPUP cited both Greenjobs.nl and Tony’s Chocolonely as inspiring B Corps that show that impact and business success can go hand in hand. Patagonia also cited Dopper as an example for their commitment to reusable products and reducing plastic waste.

Together we make a difference

These stories show that B Corps are not just doing business, but actively contributing to a more just and sustainable world. At Greenjobs.nl, we are proud to support B Corps in finding talent that shares their mission. Because together we move forward and make real change possible.
